Our passion here at Sight Eyecare is giving sight to the entire family. Specializing in pediatric eyecare, we are able to do just that! Dr. Sechler obtained her fellowship in vision development to help further her love of caring for the youngest of patients. She specializes in full comprehensive pediatric eye exams and the management of amblyopia (lazy eye), strabismus (turned eye), as well as learning related vision disorders.

Dr. Laura H. Sechler, FCOVD
Optometrist
Dr. Laura Sechler is the owner and lead optometrist here at Sight Eyecare. She is a native of a small town in West Tennessee but has lived in Chattanooga since 2014. She has her undergraduate degree with honors in Biology from the University of Tennessee at Martin. She graduated with her doctorate of optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2013. She later received her Fellowship in Visual Development in 2018 from the College of Visual Development. She is married to her husband Spencer, also a local optometrist, and they have one son. Dr. Sechler enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, baking, and crafting.
Dr. Sechler is on the Board of Trustees for the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians. She is a member of American Optometric Association, College of Vision Development, and Southeastern Tennessee Optometric Physicians.

-Her only job has been in the Eyecare field
-She doesn’t like ice cream
-She took piano lessons from the first grade until senior year of high school
-She graduated college in 3 years
-Her favorite color is pink…and of course glitter…that’s a color right???

Syndi Whited, ABO
Optician
I'm Syndi Whited. I moved to Chattanooga when I was 18 years old from a small town called Jamestown, TN. I have 6 years of optical experience, including being ABO Certified. I am currently apprenticing to become a Licensed Dispensing Optician. I love helping people see their best and look their best! I take pride in my work and strive to meet every patients need whether it's finding the perfect frame and lenses or learning how to wear and care for contacts.
I have 3 beautiful children and an adorable dog who take up my spare time. We love going to parks, going swimming and having movie nights.

Hello! My name is Haleigh Ellis, and I am the Patient Care Coordinator here at Sight Eyecare! I will the one of the first people to greet you or speak with you on the phone! I am from Chattanooga. My favorite things to do are work and travel! I love my family and spending my time with them. Previously, I have worked at Chick-fil-A since 2015!
I have a desire to help people and make everyone feel welcomed here at Sight Eyecare! Please, stop and say hello when you arrive at the office.
